Tree City Quilt Guild in Gainesville, Florida

Tree City Quilt Guild in Gainesville Florida held their monthly meeting last night.  The festive meeting room was decked out in Valentine Day decorations.  Even the delicious refreshments were heart shaped!  Who was the guest speaker for the evening?  You guessed it - me!  My hand-hooked rugs were displayed along with braided rugs and wool appliqué samples.  A common question is "how do you cut the strips?".  I had my wool cutter along to show the members, as well as a rug hooking frame and hook.  A few brave ladies even picked up a hook to pull a few loops!  They were naturals!  My hand-dyed wool and many books, magazines, and journals filled out the table.   

The Tree City Quilt Guild is holding their quilt show the first weekend in May, 2015.  Be sure to attend.  From the excitement in the room and the creative ideas surrounding the show it is sure to be a wonderful event.
