Weaving this week

Weaving took over on Thursday, with friends Cheryl and Jean.  Cheryl was using a 16" Ashford rigid heddle loom and some super soft baby yarn in light green for the warp and white for the weft.  The result will be beautiful. I am hoping she will post her picture, as  I am forever forgetting to get the camera out. The picture shown here will become  my new kitchen towels.  I used 4/2 un-mercerized cotton, solid warp with a variegated weft.  I think it is weaving up beautifully!  Look at the color pooling!  Jean is a rug hooker, with visions of becoming a weaver.  So I put her to work weaving on my loom, and my towels.  If only she stayed longer my towels would be finished!  Thanks Jean!
