Road trips are the best

There is always a feeling of excitement and expectation of adventure before a road trip begins.  We have just returned from a trip that took us through Asheville NC on our way to Ohio.  Two days is not enough to explore all Asheville has to offer.   One of my favorite stores is the Earth Guild, full of all kinds of fiber for spinning, weaving, knitting, and more fiber experiences than a person has time for.  I did purchase some colorful weaving supplies and some gorgeous hand-dyed fiber in colors of autumn.    Just down the block is my new favorite cafe - The Tupelo Honey Cafe.  Delightful and Delicious and must go each time we visit Asheville.  Many of the artists in the River Arts Districts were in their studios and very willing to talk about the inspiration for their creativity.  I was able to get a few loops pulled while rug hooking in the car.  However the scenery in the mountains is beautiful so I was enjoying the view instead of hooking on my rug.
