Time for a Hook-In

Tomorrow my home will be filled with many friends who are rug hookers. Some I have known for about seven years and a few are new friends I have only known a couple months.  A hook-in is a wonderful way to meet artistic people who share the common interest of rug hooking.  I am hoping everyone will bring a "show and tell" in addition to what progressing on their frame now. Fiber artists have a wide range of experience in other art forms and bring that knowledge to rug hooking.  Many are quilters, painters, wood workers.  Some are potters, weavers or knitters, and still others are second or third generation rug hookers with stories of their family tradition.   In addition, they are all great cooks so we will have a fabulous lunch on the front porch.

My hope is that we will continue to gather on regular basis to share our passion for hand hooked rugs.
